Katherine Ropp
Katherine Ropp started dancing at the age of 3 learning tap, ballet, modern, and jazz. She grew up dancing with many companies in Maryland, including the Howard County Ballet and Turning Pointe Studio. Upon moving to North Carolina, she started classes at the Ballet School of Chapel Hill, focusing on ballet technique until graduating high school. Katherine has danced in many productions most notably the Nutcracker, Wizard of Oz, Peter and the Wolf, and Snow White. She attended college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying Music Education. While there, she continued to dance and choreograph student productions with the Star Heels Dance Team. Since earning her degree, she has continued taking ballet classes and teaching music lessons, and is excited to start teaching at the Ballet School.
